Arthritis and rheumatism

As we get older more of us are afflicted with joint pains and sometimes they do not wait until we are old!  Whilst there are many therapies and supplements available on the market there is still a lot of pain and suffering.  Loss of mobility can cause isolation and loneliness too and when people live on their own, as more do now than ever before, life can become very difficult and restricted.

To avoid relying upon drugs, which may have unwanted side effects, many people look to simpler remedies and aids such as heat lamps.  These can give some relief but heat is not always comfortable and the relief may be short-lived.

Another and often neglected area of therapy is visible light. Because it is all around us we underestimate its effects and potential for providing relief, but properly applied it can be an effective tool against pain and inflammation of many sorts, including joint pain.  Red light is particularly effective, especially when combined with a little warming infra-red.

On the following page we offer just such a device from a Swiss manufacturer which specialises in light therapy (phototherapy) products for the professional market as well as making versions suitable for home users.
